International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)
Stefan Gsänger is a prominent figure in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Empowering People & Communities working group at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) since April 2024. Gsänger has held the position of Secretary General at the World Wind Energy Association since 2001 and Co-Chair of the Global 100% Renewable Energy Platform since April 2013, where responsibilities include initiating and managing global campaigns. Gsänger holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science, Psychology, and Spanish Literature from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and has also studied at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
