Miranda Byrne-Steele

Director of R&D and Operations Management at iRepertoire

Miranda Byrne-Steele has been in the field of research and development since 2001. Miranda began their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of South Alabama. In 2003, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where they worked in the Laboratory for Structural Biology, performing cloning, protein expression, purification, crystallization, and X-ray structure determination of archaeal proteins involved in DNA replication. In 2007, they also took on the role of Mathematics and Science Tutor at the North Alabama Center for Excellence in Education (NACEE). From 2010 to 2015, they held the positions of Senior Research Scientist and Post-doctoral Fellow at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology/ iRepertoire Inc. Miranda is currently the Director of R&D and Operations Management at iRepertoire Inc.

Miranda Byrne-Steele attended The University of Alabama in Huntsville from 2003 to 2009, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biotechnology Science and Engineering. Prior to that, they attended the University of South Alabama from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Mathematics.
