Kate Atkinson has a diverse work experience in marketing and content creation. Kate started their career as a Marketing Assistant at Gloucestershire Media, where they focused on sourcing reader offers and campaigns. Kate then became a Marketing Executive at Nelson Thornes, managing marketing campaigns for specific brands and implementing targeted direct marketing activities. Later, they worked as a Marketing Executive at Ecclesiastical Insurance Group, where they played an active role in a rebranding project and ensured consistent communication across various channels. Kate then moved on to Jelf Group plc, where they worked as a Marketing Executive for four divisions, handling marketing activities and producing a wide range of collateral. Kate then worked at Sun Life Financial of Canada as a Senior Marketing Executive, leading marketing workstreams for product development projects and managing a rebranding effort. Kate later joined IRESS as a Marketing Business Partner, devising and implementing a successful social media strategy for the company. Currently, they are employed at IRESS as a Brand Content Lead, creating fresh and creative content to increase brand awareness, including the successful Upfront podcast. Additionally, Kate has taken on a role as the Festival Content and Marketing Director for the Cheltenham Design Festival, where they support the team and handles content, social media, and copywriting strategies.
Kate Atkinson attended Brynteg Comprehensive School from 1991 to 1998, where they studied Sociology, English, and Business Studies to obtain their A Levels and GCSE's. From 1998 to 2002, they attended the University of Gloucestershire, achieving a BA Hons in Marketing Management.
