Emil Sylvester Ramos

Emil Sylvester Ramos has a long history of entrepreneurship, having founded or co-founded nine companies since 2006. In 2006, they founded Streamlined Works, Inc., a company that successfully completed residential, commercial and industrial small to medium scale design and construction projects. From 2007 to 2011, they co-founded Bliss Art Cafe, a “lunch box” food and delivery service company catering to the Office of the President and the Presidential Security Group at Malacañang Palace, NewYorkerFlorals Inc., a wedding bouquet and entourage design agency, and Bloombox, a boxed flowers and gifts company. In 2012, they co-founded Active Geoanchor Inc., a geotechnical and civil engineering company, and in 2014 they co-founded ARS Testing and Inspection Inc., an importer and service provider of soil, metal and materials testing, as well as Our Evergreen Mission, a triple bottomline wholesale industrial detergent manufacturer. In 2019, they served as Smart Cities Lead at Techstars, and in 2020 they became a Member of the Smart Cities Technologies Taskforce at the Information and Communications Technology Council. Emil Sylvester currently serves as Co-Founder of IRIS, a company that uses dash cameras with artificial intelligence to detect events, hazards and defects in real time.

Emil Sylvester Ramos has an extensive education history. Emil Sylvester obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA from Philippine Women's University between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they studied Architecture at the University of Santo Tomas, graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture - BArch in 2007. In 2015 and 2016, they studied User Interface & User Experience at the New York Code + Design Academy. In 2020, they completed a course on Beyond Smart Cities: Emerging Design and Technology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Emil Sylvester is currently enrolled in a course on Leadership in an Exponentially Changing World at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, they obtained a Verified International Academic Qualifications certification from World Education Services (WES) in 2019.
