Peter Murtagh

Peter Murtagh is an experienced maintenance operations manager with a strong background in mechanical engineering. Currently serving as the Maintenance Operations Manager at Irish Cement Limited since April 2018, Peter oversees operations at Platin Works, a leading and energy-efficient cement plant known for its innovative use of alternative fuels to reduce its carbon footprint. Prior experience includes roles as Deputy Maintenance Manager at CRH in Ukraine and Mechanical Engineer at Irish Cement Limited, where Peter focused on plant improvement projects, safety conditions, and minimizing downtime. Education includes a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours and a Bachelor of Engineering Technology, both from Technological University Dublin, along with a Leaving Certificate from Virginia Vocational College.
