Alan Doonan

Alan Doonan is an experienced performance analyst in the sports industry, currently serving as an Assistant Lecturer in Performance Analysis at the Technological University of the Shannon since September 2024. Concurrently, Alan holds the position of Academy Performance Analyst at Connacht Rugby and works with the Irish Rugby Football Union as a performance analyst for the Irish U18 Clubs and as an IRFU Match Analyst. Previous roles include performance analyst at Leitrim GAA and an internship with the Football Association of Ireland. Alan also gained experience as a performance analyst at St. Mary's College C.S.Sp. and Leinster Rugby. Alan completed a degree in Sports Science & Exercise Physiology at the Technological University of the Shannon from 2017 to 2021, following education at Ballinamore Community School from 2010 to 2015.
