Chris Leckey

Chris Leckey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data analysis, sports systems operations, and research. Currently serving as a Research Officer with the Irish Rugby Football Union and an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Scholar, Chris is also a PhD student at University College Dublin focusing on Machine Learning and Sports Science. With a background that includes roles such as Specialist Rugby Systems Operator at Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd, Chris provides technical support and analysis during match days for Leinster and Ireland Rugby. Previous positions include Data Analyst roles at the National Treasury Management Agency and AIB, and a Data Scientist position at First Derivatives. Chris holds multiple degrees, including a Doctor of Philosophy in progress, a Master of Science in Data Analytics, and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, complemented by a Certificate in Data Analytics in Sport from the Johan Cruyff Institute and a Diploma in Sports Journalism from Dublin Business School.
