National Team Doctor at Irish Rugby Football Union

Dr. Stuart O. is a Consultant Sports and Exercise Medicine Physician at the Sports Surgery Clinic since January 2021 and holds various positions with the Irish Rugby Football Union, serving as Medical Lead for the National Sevens Programme and support doctor for the Men’s National Senior Team during the Rugby World Cup France 2023. Dr. Stuart O. has extensive experience with Leinster Rugby as a Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Consultant and Senior Team Doctor. Additional roles include Team Doctor for Dublin GAA and various medical responsibilities during training and competitions at multiple age levels for rugby teams. Dr. Stuart O. completed advanced education in Sports Medicine and Physiology at the University of Oxford and holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Limerick.
