Breige McGinn

Breige McGinn has a diverse work experience with a focus on fundraising and communications. Breige is currently working at the Irish Wheelchair Association as the Acting Head of Fundraising & Strategic Projects, where they have been since May 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as an Individual Giving Specialist for the same organization from August 2021 to May 2023. Breige also has experience as an Account Director at AAW Audience from December 2019 to August 2021 and as a Development Manager at Audience Fundraising and Communications Ltd. from October 2017 to December 2019. Before that, they worked as an Individual Giving Manager at GOAL Global from August 2014 to October 2017. Additionally, Breige has experience as a member of the Institute of Fundraising NI Committee where they were responsible for website and social media activities from March 2011 to December 2015. Breige has also held positions at Children in Crossfire and Concern Worldwide, where they gained skills in direct marketing and supporter services.

Breige McGinn has a diverse education history. In 1995, they attended Queen's University Belfast and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Politics and Social Policy in 1999. Breige then took a break from formal education and embarked on overseas travel from 1999 to 2000.

In 2006, Breige McGinn returned to education and pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Direct and Interactive Marketing at The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing. Breige successfully completed the program in 2008.

In 2017, McGinn further expanded their knowledge by completing an Award in General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) at The Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing.

More recently, in 2022, Breige McGinn obtained a Certificate of Completion in Mental Health First Aid 3rd Edition from Mental Health First Aid Ireland. Breige also completed a Professional Diploma in Project Management at UCD Professional Academy during the same year.
