Jonathan McShane

Jonathan McShane has over 20 years of work experience in finance and project management roles. Jonathan is currently the Director of Project Management Office & Quality at the Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA), where they have been since 2018. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Financial Officer & Director of Corporate Services at IWA.

Before joining IWA, Jonathan worked at SVP - Society of St. Vincent de Paul Ireland from 2012 to 2018, where they held various roles including Head of Finance Services & Accounting, Acting Head of Finance, and Finance Manager.

Jonathan also has experience as a Finance Manager at Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and Concern Worldwide. Earlier in their career, Jonathan served as Head of Finance at Radio Nova 100 Dublin and 4FM. Jonathan also briefly ran their own business, JMS Business Consulting.

Jonathan's career began at KPMG in Ireland in 2003 as an Audit Manager, where they worked with a diverse client portfolio. Prior to that, they worked as an Audit Manager at OSK Chartered Accountants from 2002 to 2003. Overall, they have a strong background in finance and has worked in a variety of industries including healthcare, broadcasting, and non-profit organizations.

Jonathan McShane attended Ulster University from 1993 to 1996, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree (BA Hons) in Accounting. Prior to their university education, they studied at St. Columbs College, Derry between 1986 and 1996, although the degree name and field of study are not provided for this period. In terms of additional certifications, Jonathan obtained their Associate Institute of Taxation from the Irish Tax Institute in June 2004. In 1999, they also obtained the FCA certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
