Michael Getz

Michael Getz has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Their most recent position is as a DevOps Engineer at Iron-IQ, Inc., starting from April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Compliance at Patriot Petroleum Solutions from October 2021 to October 2022. In this role, they managed compliance for a company of 50 people, coordinated service and emergency efforts, maintained relationships with regulators, and oversaw documentation for 200+ facilities.

Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Senior Technician at Storage Tank Technology Inc. from January 2019 to February 2021. Here, they managed UST/AST compliance and soil/groundwater remediation. Michael collected and provided data for monitoring and remediation reporting, responded to emergency releases, reported compliance issues, and coordinated with subcontractors for maintenance.

Before entering the petroleum industry, Michael worked briefly as a Wellsite Mud-logger at Field Geo Services, Inc. in 2018. Michael collected data and compiled scientific reports for clients using mudlogging software.

Michael's earliest known work experience was as a Rental Shop Manager at Board & Buckle CO. from October 2009 to October 2018.

Michael Getz obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Geology/Earth Science, General from Colorado Mesa University in 2018. In 2022-2023, they attended the University of Denver and received a Full Stack Certificate. Additionally, they earned various certifications, including AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2023, PostgreSQL Essential Training from LinkedIn in March 2023, AWS Essential Training for Developers from LinkedIn in February 2023, and other customer service and technical certifications from LinkedIn, Zendesk, UST Training, STI/SPFA, International Code Council, The Cloud Bootcamp, and Pupora Engineering.
