Patrick Walsh

Patrick Walsh is the CEO and Editor at IronCore Labs. Patrick was previously the Development Director at Oracle from March 2012 to March 2015. Patrick was responsible for the web self service product area of the Oracle Service Cloud, representing nearly half of revenue for the Service Cloud group and reaching millions of unique visitors every day.

During their time at Oracle, Patrick managed multiple large, complex, cross-organization projects to strengthen Oracle’s competitive position in the market. The largest project involved ten teams applying aspects of the Scaled Agile Framework to coordinate and achieve predictability while adapting to changing conditions within the project.

Patrick was also a member of Global Architecture Team, Technical Architecture Review board, and Oracle Security Point of Contact. Patrick regularly worked with customers and partners to build value and ROI for them in their implementations and delivered presentations on an array of topics at various customer events.

Patrick worked with our Customer Advisory Board to stay responsive to evolving customer needs and engaged with the sales team in building custom pitches for targeted prospects. Patrick also managed multiple teams across several locations around the globe and pushed innovation through ongoing hackathons and other events, driving resulting project ideas back into the project and out to customers.

Under Patrick’s leadership, the team built full developer environments, frameworks and platform to allow for controlled, upgradeable customizations at scale in the cloud. They also managed to collect, process and mine anonymized customer activity to gain insight into how the product was used and validate hypotheses for delivered products and to confirm current product direction and design choices.

Patrick Walsh has a Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Science from UC Irvine. Patrick also has taken a strategic sales course and an entrepreneurship springboard course at Miller-Heiman and UCSD Connect, respectively. In addition, they have a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera.
