Ron Silver

Ron Silver has extensive work experience in accounting and finance. Ron currently holds the position of Vice President, Corporate Controller, Principal Accounting Officer, & Treasurer at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals since March 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director, Corporate Controller, Principal Accounting Officer & Treasurer at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals from July 2021 to February 2022.

Before joining Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Ron Silver worked at Eze Software Group from 2014 to 2018. Ron held various positions at Eze Software Group, including Director, Corporate Accounting, where they led global accounting operations, technical accounting, financial reporting, and treasury functions for a PE-owned investment management ERP software company. Ron played a key role in the company's successful IPO and eventual acquisition by SS&C Technologies.

Ron Silver began their career at RSM US LLP in 2004, where they served as Director, Assurance Services. In this role, they managed financial statement audit, review, and consulting engagements for mid-sized companies in various industries, with a focus on private-equity funds and portfolio companies.

Ron Silver completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland from 2000 to 2004. Ron then pursued a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Corporate Finance at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Ron obtained several certifications, including the Series 27 Financial and Operations Principal (FINOP) from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in August 2017, the Certified Treasury Professional from the Association for Financial Professionals in December 2016, the AICPA IFRS Certification from the AICPA in November 2015, the Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in November 2008, and the Certified Public Accountant from the Virginia Board of Accountancy in January 2005.
