Software Architect at IronYun

Dave Jenkins has over 40 years of work experience in various software-related roles. Dave began their career at Unisys as a Software Manager and Programmer, where they managed a team and developed compilers and firmware for document processing systems. Dave then worked at ITT Corporation as a Member Technical Staff, specializing in systems software development and VLSI CAD support.

Dave co-founded Visionary Systems Inc., a startup that created parallel processor add-on boards for PCs. Dave served as the Software Manager and helped develop assembler, debugger, diagnostics, and device driver software.

Following that, Dave joined Avidia Systems as a Co-Founder and Software Manager, where they designed and developed software for an ATM workgroup switch. Avidia Systems was later acquired by PairGain Technologies. At PairGain Technologies, Dave worked as a Project Manager and led a team in developing device drivers and signaling software for PairGain's Avidia integrated access concentrator.

Dave then joined DSL.net as a Director of Advanced Services, managing a group of programmers responsible for integrating and automating network services. Dave developed in-house software to integrate components from Computer Associates with DSL.net's application servers and network equipment.

Next, Dave worked as a Consultant at Fact Extract, where they developed text mining software and provided consulting services. Dave then moved to Cloud Computing for Mobile Applications as a Software Consultant, mentoring junior engineers and improving software quality.

Currently, Dave is employed as a Software Architect at IronYun, where they contribute to the development and architecture of software solutions.

Dave Jenkins obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University, where they studied from 1973 to 1977. After that, they pursued their Master of Science degree in Computer and Communication Sciences at the University of Michigan, completing their studies from 1978 to 1980.
