Gerard Madec

Gerard Madec has accumulated extensive experience in video technology and education. Currently serving as a researcher at IRT B-com since January 2014 and as an associate professor at IMT Atlantique since January 2003, Gerard Madec specializes in video format, compression, and transmission, while also developing continuing education programs and participating in research projects. Prior to these roles, Gerard Madec worked at France Telecom from January 1984 to January 2003, where responsibilities included managing the Domestic IP Backbone operational service and coordinating the French delegation in ISO MPEG standardization as an MPEG1/2 video expert. Gerard Madec holds an Ingénieur Telecom Bretagne degree in Signal and Informatique from IMT Atlantique, completed between 1981 and 1983, and attended lycée Chateaubriand from 1978 to 1980.
