Christophe Moreno

Manager, Sophia Antipolis Site at IRT Saint Exupéry

Christophe Moreno is the current Manager of the Sophia Antipolis Site at IRT Saint Exupéry. Prior to this, they were with Renault Innovation Silicon Valley / RNGM as a Senior Team Manager in Artificial Intelligence from September 2015 to July 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the creation and management of the Artificial Intelligence team, as well as recruitment of skilled engineers from UC Berkley, Stanford, and other institutions.

Moreno's domains of expertise include open innovation, research, and communication. In terms of open innovation, they have experience with virtual assistants and autonomous robots. In the area of research, their focus is on explainable AI, robust machine learning, and machine learning with limited data. As for communication, Moreno has given presentations and keynote speeches on AI and innovation to board members, VPs, and other executives.

Moreno began their career as an Expert in Artificial Intelligence with the European Commission in July 2012 before moving to Groupe Renault in July 2018.

Christophe Moreno holds a Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Robotics for Autonomous Driving from University B. Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand, France. Christophe also holds a Master's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same school, as well as an Engineer's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from CUST in Clermont-Ferrand. Christophe Moreno is also certified by Université Blaise Pascal (Clermont-II) - Clermont-Ferrand in Ph.D.
