Sarah Stevens is an experienced mathematics educator and consultant with a robust background spanning over two decades in various educational roles. Currently serving as a math teacher at the Irving Independent School District since August 2017, Sarah has also been an independent contractor for the Kansas State Department of Education since April 2014, where contributions include authoring state documents, developing professional development materials, and leading training initiatives for secondary mathematics teachers statewide. Additionally, Sarah has worked as a curriculum author for the University of Texas, Charles A. Dana Center, creating instructional materials and facilitating partnerships between the Dana Center and Kansas Department of Education. Previous experience includes serving as Mathematics Curriculum Coordinator and in various teaching roles within the Wichita Public Schools from 2004 to 2016, as well as teaching positions in high schools prior to that.
