Deryk Yuill

Deryk Yuill has over 30 years of experience leading teams in the creation of innovative hardware and software solutions for the electric utility and telecommunications markets. Past positions include R&D manager for the GE Substation Automation division, and VP of Technology at Bow Networks, which later became part of RuggedCom, and in turn Siemens. At Bow, Mr. Yuill conceived of and led the development of CrossBow, which was the first and most widely deployed product to address NERC CIP compliance and cybersecurity for remote access to electric substation IEDs. Since 2016, he has worked as an independent consultant, helping Utilities and Vendors with issues of technology planning, cybersecurity, compliance, automation, and data communications. He has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences such as DistribuTech, and currently serves on the DNP technical committee and test management committees.
