Julius Bruch

Julius Bruch is the current CEO at Isaac Health. Julius was previously an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from January 2017 to November 2021. Julius is responsible for leading teams of up to 8 people, owning and coordinating senior client relationships, and primarily responsible for the delivery of consulting projects. Julius also leads problem solving, data analysis, and executive communication. Julius transferred from Munich to the New York Office and completed a 6-month rotation to the Middle East. Julius was promoted twice - from Associate to Senior Associate and to Engagement Manager. Their recent project experience includes developing the strategy for a merger of two health insurance plans with $4bn+ in synergy value identified, including through commercial growth and co-investment in virtual health; supporting a national health insurer in their growth strategy, including due diligence and analysis of potential acquisition targets across virtual care, MSOs, and analytics providers; developing a value-based care model for a national payer from strategy through to the negotiation of new MSO and network contracts, including modeling of financial impact at provider level; developing a virtual care solution for a payer, from strategy to coordinating implementation of the solution; and developing and evaluating an episode- and total cost of care-based payment model for a state. Julius has also assessed the financial and clinical impact of 4 value-based care models using claims analytics. In addition, they have built the advanced analytics capabilities for a regional US payer by assessing potential future analytics and AI use cases; and led the building of a McKinsey-internal solution with a team of developers to assess value from health prevention.

Julius Bruch completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Cambridge, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in neuroscience. Julius then went on to earn a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the same school. Finally, they earned a Research Doctorate in medicine from the Technische Universität München.
