Luiz Arthur Nascimento

Luiz Arthur Nascimento has a diverse work experience in the field of user experience (UX) research and design. Luiz Arthur started their career as an Engineering Intern at Whirlpool Latin America, where they developed automation systems for the reliability testing of washing machines. Luiz Arthur then worked as a UX Designer at Sigalei, a political intelligence platform, where they facilitated active participation in Brazilian legislative decisions.

Luiz later joined the University of São Paulo as a Researcher, focusing on vibroacoustic systems and the analysis of dynamic systems. Luiz Arthur conducted research on sound propagation and instrumentation design for impedance tubes.

Luiz Arthur then transitioned to the role of Product Designer at Arquivei, a document management product. Luiz Arthur worked on solutions to attract and retain new customers, as well as the redesign of XML query tools. Luiz Arthur also contributed to the development of Arquivei Lite, a tool for querying and downloading fiscal invoices.

Luiz's UX research and design expertise continued to grow at Grupo SBF, where they held multiple roles. As Lead UX Researcher, they created a research team structure and was responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training researchers. Luiz Arthur also provided technical and career guidance to the team. In their role as UX Research Specialist, they conducted research in collaboration with various business areas such as customer service, marketing, and innovation. Luiz Arthur played a key role in defining research tools and processes, including research repositories and participant recruitment. As a UX Researcher, they conducted exploratory and validation research for both physical and digital channels.

Luiz Arthur then joined Observe as part of the Communication and Branding team. Following that, they worked at Nuvemshop as a Senior User Researcher, where they conducted user research to enhance the company's e-commerce platform.

Most recently, Luiz joined Awari as a User Research Mentor, providing guidance and support to aspiring user researchers. Luiz Arthur is currently working at Isaac as a Staff UX Researcher.

Throughout their career, Luiz Arthur Nascimento has acquired extensive experience in UX research, design, and leadership, working across various industries and organizations.

Luiz Arthur Nascimento completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering at USP - Universidade de São Paulo from 2011 to 2015. Luiz Arthur then pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution from 2015 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Nascimento obtained several certifications to further enhance their skills. In 2017, they completed courses in Agile Methods: Introduction, UX Designer, Business Model Canvas, and Data Analysis: Working with Data and Statistics, all through Alura Cursos Online. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Facebook ADS from Alura Cursos Online as well as a certification in Illustrator: Creating Vector Illustrations.

Moving forward, Nascimento obtained certifications in Ethnographic Research in Digital Contexts from Clave de Fa in November 2019. In January 2020, they acquired a certification in UX Research from Product Arena. More recently, in December 2020, they completed a course in Behavioral Design through Aprender Design. Lastly, in January 2022, they obtained a certification in Quantitative UX Research Methods from di.school.
