Farid Patel

Farid Patel, CPA, CGA, CISA, currently serves as a part-time faculty member at Durham College and Seneca Polytechnic while simultaneously working as a Solution Consultant for SAS, specializing in IFRS 9/17 and ALM & Risk. His expertise includes modeling actuarial cash flow for insurance products and developing accounting treatments to ensure compliance with IFRS 17. Farid has also contributed as a volunteer providing emotional support through the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto and holds a position on the Education Committee of ISACA. Previously, Farid held key roles in technology risk and compliance at organizations such as BMO Financial Group, Scotiabank, TD, and RBC Capital Markets. Farid has an academic background that includes a Master's degree in International Economic and Finance from Ryerson University and multiple SAP certifications.
