Seth Baker

Seth Baker has a comprehensive and diverse work experience in the technology and healthcare industry. Seth has held various roles in different organizations throughout their career.

Seth started their career as the Founder and President of Eastmed Technologies in 1993. Later, they worked as a Senior Distributed Systems Programmer Analyst at Hartford Hospital, where they supported the design, development, and implementation of distributed systems.

Seth then joined Arbot Software as the Senior Partner and Chief Technology Officer, responsible for providing consulting services, software development, and infrastructure technology consulting, with a focus on healthcare.

Seth Baker worked at Hartford Hospital again, this time as a Technical Lead, leading the implementation of various healthcare solutions, including Cerner Millennium Radnet and Allscripts EDIS implementation.

Seth also worked at Hartford Healthcare Corporation as an IT Consultant, focusing on developing a scalable IT infrastructure to support a growing integrated health system.

Next, Seth held the role of Lead Software Developer at Clinical Laboratory Partners, where they were responsible for developing and delivering software solutions aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Seth then worked as an Interim IT Director and IT Consultant (part-time) at Genomas Inc, a biomedical company specializing in personalized medicine.

Seth joined Hartford HealthCare as a Software Architect, overseeing software strategy, development, and clinical system integration. Seth also served as the Enterprise Security Architect and Manager of Security Engineering, responsible for ensuring compliance with security policies and leading process improvement initiatives.

Most recently, Seth worked as a Senior Solutions Engineer at Proofpoint, a cybersecurity company, before joining ISACA as the Academic and Corporate Relations Director.

Seth Baker's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity from Charter Oak State College, obtained from 2019 to 2023. Previously, they pursued Russian Language Studies at Saint Petersburg State University in 1992 and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in 1991-1992. Seth also obtained a major in Slavic Studies from the University of Connecticut in 1989-1991, a major in Psychology from Harvard University in 1988-1990, and a major in Business and Marketing from Capital Community College in 1986-1988. Seth has also acquired various certifications including Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)² in 2022, Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in 2019, and Epic Security Certification (Proficiency) from Epic in 2019.
