Robert Riezebos has extensive experience in the field of cardiology and healthcare management. Robert is currently serving as the Director of Cardiology at Isala (ziekenhuis) since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at OLVG from 2009 to 2023, where they held various roles including Cardiologist, Head of the department of Cardiology/Heartcenter, and Member of the medical board. In addition to their clinical work, Riezebos also served as a Member of the working group on echocardiography at NVVC starting from 2009. Robert has also contributed their expertise to the field as a member of the Editorial board at BMJ from 2011 to 2014.
Robert Riezebos has a diverse education history. In 1999, they obtained an MD degree in Medicine from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Robert then pursued further education and completed a PhD in Medicine at the University of Amsterdam from 2009 to 2011. In 2013, they took a leadership development course at Holland Consulting Group and in 2014, they completed a leadership development course at Avicenna. In 2018, they participated in the International Leadership Development Program at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Robert also attended Carolus Clusius College from 1988 to 1992 for VWO studies. In 2021, they enrolled in a Board Potentials program at NR Governance. Additionally, Robert Riezebos has obtained several certifications, including Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology in 2014, Cardiac CT level A&B from SCCT in 2010, and EAE accreditation transthoracic echocardiography from ESC in 2009.
