Daniel Metzler

Daniel Metzler is a seasoned aerospace professional with significant experience in the space industry. As Co-Founder and CEO of Isar Aerospace since February 2018, Daniel has focused on creating flexible and cost-effective satellite launch systems through automated production techniques. Additionally, since June 2022, Daniel has served as an Advisor to the Director General at the European Space Agency, where responsibilities include advising on the organization’s New Space strategy. Previously, from 2016 to 2018, Daniel served as Project Lead at the Scientific Workgroup for Rocketry and Spaceflight, developing suborbital cryogenic sounding rockets. Daniel’s academic background includes studies at the Technical University of Munich and Technische Universität Wien, where extensive training was received in aerospace engineering.
