Rolf Burić-Gehre

Technical Chief of Staff at Isar Aerospace

Rolf Burić-Gehre has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Rolf is currently working at Isar Aerospace as the Technical Chief of Staff, where they have been since February 2023. Prior to that, they were the Head of Mission Assurance at Isar Aerospace from April 2021 to May 2023.

Before joining Isar Aerospace, Rolf worked at Lilium from October 2018 to March 2021, where they were the Team Lead Multiphysics. In this role, they led the Multiphysics team and was responsible for the development and growth of the team, as well as leading the multiphysics simulation process.

From September 2014 to August 2018, Rolf was employed at Rocket Lab. Rolf held two roles during their time there: Consultant - Specialist for Aerospace Systems and Vehicle Analyst & Aerodynamicist. In these roles, they supported Rocket Lab with mission analysis, as well as the development and improvement of rocket systems.

Rolf's earlier experience includes working as a Research Assistant at DLR in 2009 and as a Research Assistant at the University of Stuttgart from 2007 to 2008. Rolf also worked as a Junior Engineer at Fliegen Works Inc. in 2005.

Overall, Rolf has a strong background in aerospace, with experience in mission analysis, rocket development, and multiphysics simulation.

Rolf Burić-Gehre obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Scramjets from The University of Queensland between 2010 and 2014. Prior to that, they pursued their studies in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Stuttgart from 2004 to 2010, completing a Diplom Ingenieur (Dipl.-Ing.) degree.
