Osmar Farías is a skilled product manager currently working at ISCC - International Sustainability and Carbon Certification since December 2023. Previously, Osmar served as a scientific associate at Cologne University of Applied Sciences from March to July 2023 and as a scientific assistant at the Faculty of Applied Natural Sciences - TH Köln from March to July 2022, where tutoring in the ADaePT program and collaborating to develop tools for systemic thinking was undertaken. From February 2018 to March 2022, Osmar was a member of Ciudadanos por Municipios Transparentes and Arkemetría Social, A. C., leading initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency and citizen empowerment. Osmar holds degrees in Environmental Management from the Faculty of Applied Natural Sciences - TH Köln and Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, with further education from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.

ISCC Works Towards a Sustainable World ISCC’s mission is to protect forests, high-carbon stock lands, and biodiversity, enable waste utilisation, and increase traceability. We believe that sustainable supply chains are crucial to fight the most severe impacts of the climate crisis. Since greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are major contributors to climate change, we also consider the identification and reduction of GHG emissions as an important part of our work. Our vision is a world without deforestation and a truly circular economy in which we stop producing waste in the first place and instead create circular products and regenerate nature. Sustainable agriculture that increases biodiversity and creates healthy ecosystems is part of this vision as well as a resilient economic system which ends the consumption of finite resources.
