Gopanraj Patel is currently a Software Engineer- Field Testing at isee ai. Prior to this, they were a Manufacturing Engineer- Automation at Magneti Marelli North America, Inc. from 2020. In 2019, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute where they worked on indoor localization and waypoint navigation using laser-based Trilateration and Kalman Filter, developed a cost effective system of type B laser transmitters and receivers for indoor localization, and developed a method to calculate the position and the orientation of the rover in a room using simple geometry concepts. Gopanraj also served as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2019. From 2014 to 2013, Gopanraj was a Controls Engineer at KHS Macinery Pvt. Ltd, India where they were responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance and root cause analysis & servicing of palletizer, conveyors, bottle filler, bottle washer and bottle inspection system for beverage industry. During this time they also commissioned the fastest (Line speed 720 BPM, approximate Machine Speed 800 BPM) and most complex Palletizer and Conveyors developed by KHS-India at Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. In 2013, Gopanraj was an Electrical Design Intern at L&T MHI Turbine Generators Pvt. Ltd. where they designed Seal oil control system for Thermal Power Plant, developed logic for controlling pump operation and their redundancy in LabVIEW and Arduino and designed HMI using LabVIEW’s VI for monitoring of pump status and displaying faults. Gopanraj also interfaced between Arduino and LabVIEW using a package of NI named LIFA (LabVIEW Interface for Arduino-toolkit) and reduced the cost of seal oil control system using Arduino and LabVIEW instead of PLC and HMI. Additionally, Gopanraj was a Summer Intern at KHS Machinery Pvt. Ltd. in 2013 where they programmed Siemens PLC for controlling speed of a Pump and command of pneumatic valves, and generated operational command for control valve using self-tuning PID controller.
Gopanraj Patel received their Bachelor of Engineering degree in instrumentation & control from Dharmsinh Desai University between 2010 and 2014. Gopanraj then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington, which they completed in 2019.
