Michael Dornan

Principal Analyst, Primary Research Lead EMEA at ISG

Michael Dornan has a diverse work experience in the fields of market research, consulting, and analysis. Michael currently holds the position of Principal Analyst and Primary Research Lead EMEA at ISG, where they oversee primary research programs in Europe. In addition, they are responsible for managing ISG's "Cherished Accounts" program and Relationship360 in the EMEA region.

In the past, Michael has worked as the Market and Consumer Insights Director at Retail Marketing Group (RMG), where they led the reporting and insights team and implemented a new data capture and reporting system. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Research Director at Gartner, where they managed complex research projects, led the methods team, and worked as a research analyst covering various aspects of the automotive industry.

Before joining Gartner, Michael worked as an Analyst at INTECO, focusing on consumer multimedia and PC buying research. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in survey design, forecasting, and segmentation, and has presented at conferences and engagements for numerous high-profile clients.

Michael Dornan earned a BSc Hons degree in Meteorology from the University of Reading, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, they attended Colchester Royal Grammar School from 1986 to 1993. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including being a Q Research Software Certified by Displayr, completing a Data Visualization Storytelling Essentials course through LinkedIn in 2016, completing an Up and Running with R course through LinkedIn in 2016, and becoming a Certified Member (CMRS) of the Market Research Society (MRS) in July 2011.
