Sarah Lea has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Sarah started their career as a Resident at UBC Obstetrics and Gynecology from July 2010 to December 2012. Following that, they worked as a Family Physician, being self-employed from July 2016 to the present. Currently, they hold the position of Perinatal Addiction Physician Lead at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority, starting in October 2018.
Sarah Lea has a diverse education history. Sarah obtained a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University in 2023. Prior to that, Sarah completed a Family Medicine Residency at The University of British Columbia in 2016. Sarah also holds a degree in Family Medicine from The University of British Columbia, which they obtained in 2016. Sarah has an OBGYN Diploma from The University of British Columbia, earned between 2010 and 2012. Sarah obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Dalhousie University, completed in 2010. Sarah also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Community Health and Epidemiology from Dalhousie University, obtained in 2006. Sarah has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Economics from Dalhousie University, completed in 2001. In terms of additional certifications, Sarah is a member of the International Coaching Federation and has certifications in Breastfeeding for Health Care Professionals, Board Certified Addiction Medicine Physician, and Family and General Practice Physician.
