Alison Black has over 18 years of work experience in the technology sector. Alison began their career in 2003 as a Renewals Coordinator at Clearswift. In 2007, they moved to Symantec as a Public Sector Account Manager and Internal Account Manager. In 2012, they became an Account Manager for Financial Services at Good Technology. In 2013, they moved to Colt Technology Services as a New Business Account Manager. From 2014 to 2020, they held the roles of Strategic Account Manager, Account Manager, and Managed Security Services Sales at Symantec. In 2020, they moved to Forescout as a Strategic Account Manager, and in 2022 they moved to Island in the same role.

Alison Black attended John O' Gaunt Hungerford from 1991 to 2008 and obtained their A levels in English, Geography, and Biology.
