Dor Rotman

Dor Rotman has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Starting in 2000, Dor worked as a Software Developer and provided Tier 2 support for system problems at IDF. During this time, they also led a knowledge management project. In 2003, they became the Portal Development Team Leader, overseeing the administration and development of the army unit's internal portal. In 2005, they transitioned to a SharePoint Developer and Consultant role, providing guidance to the portal development team.

In 2006, Dor joined Microsoft as an IW Consultant and SharePoint Administrator, where they administered the internal portal and provided customized features and business process automation. They continued working part-time at Microsoft until 2008.

From 2006 to 2010, Dor worked at Omnisys as a Software Development Team Leader and Consultant.

In 2009, they joined Advantech Technologies, Ltd. as an Application Developer.

From 2011 to 2014, Dor worked at Schneider Electric as a Lead Software Developer and Team Leader. During this time, they played a key role in developing a large-scale Remote Energy Management application, collaborating with team members, and communicating with various stakeholders.

In 2015, Dor joined Fireglass, which was later acquired by Symantec, as a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer. They led the development of a single-page web app, creating components and features from scratch using Node.

From 2017 to 2021, Dor worked at Symantec, starting as a Lead Software Engineer before transitioning to a Software Engineering Team Lead role in 2019.

Finally, in 2021, Dor joined Island as a Senior Software Technical Lead and later became an Engineering Manager in 2022.

Throughout their career, Dor has demonstrated strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and a broad experience in software development and team management.

Dor Rotman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Reichman University from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they obtained the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in February 2014 and completed the Architect's Master Class by Juval Lowy at IDesign in December 2013.
