Kristján Rúnar Kristjánsson

Kristján Rúnar Kristjánsson is currently serving as Deputy CRO and Executive Director at Íslandsbanki, where he heads the Portfolio Credit Risk & Modelling team. He has previous experience as a Credit Risk Analyst at the same institution. Kristján has also held roles at Icelandic Red Cross as Surge Program Manager and International Delegate, as well as at Kreditkort hf. as a Board Member. Additionally, he has worked as a Risk Analyst at Glitnir and conducted research in theoretical physics at Nordita in both Stockholm and Copenhagen. Kristján holds a PhD in Physics from Háskóli Íslands and has completed various other degrees and programs in physics, mathematics, and sustainability.
