Fred Kleisner, a four decade plus hotelier/corporate CEO/COO, has led successful management teams throughout the world in every aspect and sector of hospitality, ranging from one of the original Holiday Inns to individual world-class hotels and resorts, to worldwide branded hospitality companies (Marriott, Westin, Starwood, Wyndham, and Morgans Hotel Group). He currently serves as an Independent Director of publicly held companies, Kindred Healthcare, Apollo Residential Mortgage, Inc., and Caesars Entertainment Corporation and on audit, compensation and quality and compliance board committees. Fred also serves as an independent Board member on Aimbridge Hospitality’s Board of Managers. In 1966, Fred graduated with a BA from Michigan State University’s School of Hospitality Business, was named as MSU’s Industry Leader of the Year in 2004, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Eli Broad College of Business, School of Hospitality at Michigan State University. He has completed advanced studies at the University of Virginias, Darden School of Business and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia. Fred is currently a director, executive committee member and Treasurer of the Board at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. He is a past Chair of the Trustee Board of the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Lander WY, and Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry, NY.
