Mira Rosenkotz

Growing up on Bainbridge Island, Mira was part of the island farming community before they could walk. Mira attended IslandWood summer camps in the early 2000s and is excited to be back on campus. They returned to Bainbridge in 2020 after living and attending college in Western Massachusetts. Before coming to IslandWood, Mira worked with livestock at IslandWood’s closest farm neighbor, Heyday. They also created and ran a farm-to-table dinner club connecting diners with local Kitsap farms. Mira joined IslandWood in 2022 and holds the position of Garden Manager. They are passionate about connecting with people about where their food comes from and how it gets from seed to supper. Having access to fresh food, and an understanding of its journey is something Mira hopes to share with everyone who visits the garden.
