Mauri Belasko has a long and varied work experience. Mauri began their career in 2009 as a Histotechnologist at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia. In 2013, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Associate at UC Irvine, where they assembled philogenetic trees to correlate the visual systems of butterflies and moths. Mauri continued to work at UC Irvine in 2014 as an Undergraduate Research Associate, where they maintained fly stocks and selected mutants. In 2016, they worked as a Master's Degree Research Associate at the University of Turku, where they studied the progression and development of atherosclerosis in MC1R-deficient mice. In 2018, they worked as a Senior Research Associate at Atreca, Inc., where they analyzed pipeline drugs with IHC, IF, ISH, and related techniques for the development and optimization of cancer therapies. Mauri also worked as a Histotechnologist / Research Associate at CORE Diagnostics in 2018. In 2021, they worked as a Scientist I at KnowBio, LLC and as a Senior Research Associate at Gritstone bio. Mauri currently works as a Research Scientist I at Isolere Bio.
Mauri Belasko has a Master of Science (M.S.) from Turun yliopisto - University of Turku in Drug Discovery and Development, obtained in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from UC Irvine in Genetics in 2014.
