James Yu

James Yu has a diverse work experience, starting as a Second Lieutenant in The Republic of China (Taiwan) Army. James then moved on to research roles in Chung Yuan Christian University and Taipei Veterans General Hospital before transitioning to software engineering at UCLA, Yahoo!, Microsoft, and ZenDeals. James later worked at RetailMeNot before joining iSpot.tv as a Principal Software Engineer in 2019. Throughout their career, they have worked on various projects involving machine learning, cloud systems, and search ad revenue products.

James Yu holds a PhD in Biomedical Physics from UCLA, a MS in Electrophysics from National Chiao Tung University, and a BS in Physics from Chung Yuan Christian University. James has also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
