Haim Shani

Haim Shani is one of the most prominent executives in the Israel High Tech Sector.

In 2012 he retired from the Ministry of Finance where he served as Director General (2009-2011) and the Head of the Competitiveness Committee. From 2001 to 2009 he served as CEO of NICE Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ: NICE). As CEO, Mr. Shani led the company’s growth from a $100m business to $ 700m and oversaw value growth from $100m to $2.5b.

Mr. Shani came to NICE from Applied Materials (Israel), where he served as VP responsible for its Israeli Business for a period of three years. From 1992 to 1998, Mr. Shani held various management positions at Orbotech Ltd. as Corporate Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, President of Orbotech’s Asia Pacific subsidiary and President of Orbotech Europe. Prior to that, Mr. Shani held various management positions at Scitex Corporation and IBM Israel.

Mr. Shani holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

In 2006 Mr. Shani was selected Top High Tech CEO in the large corporations category by the Israel Management Institute, and in 2008 was named one of the top 10 CEOs in Israel by Dun & Bradstreet.
