Shankar Lakshman

Shankar Lakshman has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Shankar is currently serving as the Global Market Intelligence research Director at ISS Market Intelligence since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Deloitte as an Associate Director in the Strategy & Innovation team in India from 2012 to 2022. In this role, they conducted research on emerging business trends, contributed to eminence activities, and conducted workshops with start-ups. Before Deloitte, Shankar worked at J.P.Morgan as an Associate and Senior Analyst from 2005 to 2012, where they undertook projects related to corporate finance market and assisted the Strategy Business Development teams. Shankar also served as a Team Leader at J.P.Morgan Services India from 2005 to 2006. Prior to that, they worked at WNS Global Services Pvt Ltd, Avendus Advisors Pvt Ltd, and Netscribes India Private Ltd in various analyst and associate roles. Shankar started their career as an Audit Assistant at M/s Ford Rhodes Parks & Co, where they conducted management audits and assisted in statutory and internal audits from 1998 to 2001.

Shankar Lakshman completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from R.A.Poddar College in 1995. Shankar then pursued their C.A.Intermediate degree in Audit from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1995 to 2001. Shankar furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Management Studies degree in Finance from VESIMSR (Vivekanand Education Socety's Institute Management Studies & Research) from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certifications in Leading Innovation using the 3 Box Solution from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2017, and Innovation Corporate Strategy Competitive Performance from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 2014.
