Nils Arwed Engelke

Nils Arwed Engelke has extensive work experience in various leadership and strategic roles. Nils Arwed is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at ista since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Tribe Lead Technology Foundation & IT Area Lead Germany at ista from May 2022 to December 2022. Before joining ista, Nils was the Deputy Group Chief Digital Officer (CDO) / Head of Digital & Data at Elia Group SA from September 2020 to April 2022. From October 2017 to August 2020, they held the position of Head of Energy Economics at 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, and from December 2012 to September 2017, they served as the Head of Corporate Development at the same company. Additionally, Nils had a role at Elia System Operator SA & 50Hertz Transmission GmbH where they were the Head of Elia Group Strategy & Innovation from March 2014 to September 2017. Nils Arwed started their career at The Boston Consulting Group as a Consultant in August 2006 and later became a Project Leader from February 2011 to November 2012. Overall, Nils has a diverse background in management consulting, energy economics, digital transformation, and IT leadership.
