Funda Sivrikaya Şerifoğlu has extensive experience in academia and leadership, currently serving as the founder and coordinator of TULIP Türkiye Liderlik İyileştirme Programı since 2013 and as a consultant with İstanbul Aydın University since 2019. Funda developed "Birr Yolculuk," a personal development method fostering self-awareness and purpose in individuals. Previous roles include founding the Düzce University and serving as its first rector from 2007 to 2015, during which Funda implemented a sustainable university model. As a leader in various educational settings, Funda has also been involved in external evaluation with the Yükseköğretim Kalite Kurulu and contributed to women's studies in academia. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University and a Master of Science from Stanford University.
