Dr. Zubair Hussain

Dr. Zubair Hussain has worked in the field of regulatory and clinical affairs for over 25 years. Dr. Zubair began their career in 1994 at Wyeth as a Senior Reg Executive. In 2000, they moved to Pharmacia & Upjohn as Head of Regulatory Affairs and Quality. In 2002, they took on the role of Head of Country Regulatory Affairs EU, EEU Australia and New Zealand at Pfizer, and was later promoted to Head of Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance and Compliance. In 2011, they became Head of Regulatory Affairs Europe, Russia, CIS, Middle East & Africa at Alcon, a Novartis company. In 2014, they joined Ipsen as Senior VP Head of Global Regulatory Affairs. In 2016, they took on the role of Global Regulatory and Clinical Head at iSTAR Medical, as well as the role of Independent Global Strategic Regulatory Science Consultant at LE4D LIMITED.

Dr. Zubair Hussain began their education in 1987, when they obtained a pharmacy degree from the University of London. From 1991 to 1994, they continued their studies at the University of Oxford, where they earned a D. Phil in Neuropharmacology. In 2005, they completed an MBA in Business from the London Business School. Additionally, they are a Past President of TOPRA, having obtained this certification from The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs.
