James McCrary

James McCrary, M.Ed. in Administration and Technology Integration, currently serves as the Director of Innovative Teaching & Learning at River Parishes Community College since May 2021. McCrary has been actively involved with ISTE since April 2017, holding multiple roles including National Advisor for Conference Program, Chair of the Emergent Technologies Committee, President of the Virtual Environments Board, and Member of the 3D PLN Board, focusing on immersing technology in education. As the Owner Operator of James McCrary- Education Technology Consulting since March 2014, McCrary has also served in various educational positions, including Director of Technology & Innovation at St. James Episcopal Day School and Academic Technology Coordinator at Episcopal School of Baton Rouge. McCrary holds a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Secondary Education concentration from Louisiana State University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership/Instructional Technology from Southeastern Louisiana University, and is pursuing specializations in Instructional Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and in Virtual Reality at the University of London.
