Pınar Gökçin Özuyar

Pınar Gökçin Özuyar completed her undergraduate studies at Istanbul Technical University Environmental Engineering Department in 1992, and her Master's and Doctorate degrees at Boğaziçi University Environmental Sciences Institute, following Üsküdar American Girls' College. He completed his doctoral studies at Aachen Technical University and Thyssen Engineering in Germany with a joint scholarship from TÜBİTAK and German ForshungZentrum Jülich. Having his own venture experience with angel investors, Dr. Özuyar held managerial positions at Dome International (Dubai) and IBS Research and Consulting (Istanbul). After 2009, he carried out various academic studies and projects under the title of Sustainability at Özyeğin University. He gave lectures on sustainability at Boğaziçi, Özyeğin, and Marmara Universities. He won the IBM Academic Initiative Award in 2011, took part in the 11th Development Plan as a member of the Environment Working Group, and also received an honorable mention at the ISCN 2014 annual award with the 'sustainable university model' he prepared. He is currently the editor and board member of the German Springer publishing house's encyclopedias 'Sustainability in Higher Education' and 'Encyclopedia for UN Sustainable Development Goals. He is also a member of the academic board of the 'Journal of Sustainability of Higher Education' and 'International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management' published by Emerald publishing house, which is a world leader in its field.
