Riccardo Balbo

Riccardo Balbo currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer and Academic Director at IED Istituto Europeo di Design, along with the role of Managing Director at IED Torino since November 2013. In addition, Riccardo holds the position of Chairman on the Board of Fondazione Francesco Morelli since January 2018. Previously, Riccardo contributed as a Visiting Professor at Politecnico di Torino from September 2006 to June 2016 and as a Lecturer in Digital Architectural Design at the University of Salford from 2008 to 2011. Riccardo was a Partner at the architectural firm X_b Balbo Bodino Architetti Associati from 1996 to 2003 and worked as a CAD Specialist at Sintecna Eng. Associated in 1991-1992. Riccardo obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Architecture from Politecnico di Torino between 2005 and 2008, and a Master of Architecture (MArch) from the same institution from 1989 to 1997.
