The first job is in London, in 1985, where he works for a year at the Hirst Research Centre, GEC group, dealing with research on technologies for integrated circuits.
In 1986 he was then hired by Marconi SpA as a telecommunications systems designer, where he developed his career until, in 1994, he assumed the role of Head of Research and Development of Access Systems for telecommunications networks.
