Hiroshi Hisatomi

Hiroshi Hisatomi is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Isuzu East Africa Ltd.

Hisatomi received his Bachelor’s degree in Law from Chuo University Tokyo, Japan in 1984. His career started shortly afterwards when he joined the Parts Operations Department at Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan. He grew through various positions which include Manager International Parts Sales Group.

Between 2001 and early 2003, Hisatomi worked in UK as the Senior Manager Isuzu Motors Europe Ltd where he also managed the Parts Operations. In April 2007, he was appointed President Isuzu (Shanghai) Tread Tec Ltd in China, a position he held until 2011 when he was moved back to Tokyo and was appointed General Manager International Department responsible vehicle sale and marketing for Europe, Turkey and Australia, New Zealand markets.

He has a wealth of experience and knowledge in Marketing, After sales and Supply Chain.

While stationed in UK, he worked with GM Europe to establish a supply system for service parts made by the Polish engine plant, a joint venture between GM and ISUZU. While stationed in Shanghai, China, he developed new business for engines and parts in the midst of rapid economic development, and it was successful.

He continued to take on various leadership roles including General Manager Parts Operations in 2013, General Manager International Parts Sales in 2014 and thereafter, Executive Vehicle Lifetime Business Planning Department & Parts Operations Department in the Aftersales Division in 2017. In April 2020, he was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Isuzu East Africa Ltd.
