Rita N. Kavashe

Rita N. Kavashe is the managing director at Isuzu East Africa. Prior to their current position, they worked at General Motors from May 1995 to July 2017. During their time at GM, they served as the managing director and oversaw the business operations of the largest automotive assembler in East Africa.

Under their leadership, GM East Africa’s market share rose steadily from 24.3% to 33.4% by 2015. The company also maintained its top position in the Kenyan auto industry for 4 consecutive years. Thanks to their solid strategies and keen business acumen, Rita has been instrumental in the success of both GM East Africa and Isuzu East Africa.

Rita N. Kavashe has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Moi University. Rita is currently enrolled in a Leadership Program at Harvard Business School.
