Lucia Susana Barcia

Lucia Susana Barcia is a prominent figure in the field of solid waste management and environmental policies, currently serving as President of ARS - Asociación para el Estudio de los Residuos Sólidos since 2023. With a long-standing involvement as a member of ISWA International Solid Waste Association since 2013, Lucia has made significant contributions as a presenter at several international conferences, focusing on topics such as waste separation and the responsibilities of waste generators in Latin America. Lucia also holds leadership roles as President of Impactos Ambientales S.A. and Executive Director of Grupo AF Ambiental. Academic credentials include a degree in Public Accounting from Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, various diplomas in Environmental Law and Urban Waste Management, and ongoing studies at the University of Chicago in Circular Economy and Sustainable Business.
