Karen Wilk has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Karen currently works as a Principal Software Engineer at ISYS Technologies, where they are involved in testing the Artemis II spacecraft software and performing a gap analysis between the Artemis I and Artemis II software. Prior to this, they worked at Raytheon as a Principle Software Engineer. In this role, they led a 4-person software team and was responsible for ensuring the test station software update met its requirements and schedule. Karen also served as the Engineering Lead of a Systems Integration Facility, overseeing a 5-person team and successfully completing the integration of an extensive upgrade on time and within budget. Additionally, Karen worked at Rincon Research Corporation as an Advanced Engineer/Scientist. During their time there, they developed the concept of operations for a prototype Search and Geolocation Planning Tool for Cubesat missions, which involved designing workflows, defining I/O parameters, creating GUI mockups, and coding in MATLAB.
Karen Wilk has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Valparaiso University. Karen also holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Digital Signal Processing from the University of Arizona.
