Richard Sommers

Richard Sommers began their work experience in 1990 as a Caseworker at Big Brother Big Sisters of Albany, where they worked until 1992. In 1999, they joined IT Asset Management Group, where they held the position of Chief Executive Officer. At IT Asset Management Group, Richard was responsible for providing comprehensive solutions to Electronic Asset Recovery and Recycling Services, including sales, inventory assessment, dismantling, data destruction, and disposition of IT equipment. Richard also oversaw full remanufacturing capabilities and a broad distribution network for optimal asset value recovery.

Richard Sommers attended Babson College in 2020, where they studied Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations. Prior to that, from 1986 to 1989, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY.
